Matlab-Based Solar System Ephemeris Toolbox Trajectories and Orbital Mechanics Moderator

Chuck Walker is a flight controls/flight software analyst in the Mission Analysis Branch of NASA’s Launch Services Program. Since his graduate research in orbital mechanics and Earth attitudinal dynamics, his work has focused on the dynamics and control of expendable launch vehicles. Of particular interest is the modeling and simulation of launch vehicles for the purposes of trajectory optimization, controls/structure interaction, spacecraft/launch vehicle separation dynamics, and dynamics of spinning spacecraft. He developed the MATLAB Solar System Ephemeris Toolbox, in part, to be used in interplanetary trajectory analysis and validation of launch vehicle pointing requirements.
